Futon sofa bed would be the best one to get for ian’s bed, just for the meantime. It will serve a double purpose during daytime and nightime for us in our small place.
Futon, originated from Japan. It is the traditional style of Japanese bedding consisting of padded mattresses and quilts pliable enough to be folded and stored away during the day, allowing the room to serve for purposes other than as a bedroom.
Images above are more of Western futon which is with several major differences. It is almost always placed on a configurable wood or metal frame for dual use as a bed and a chair or couch.
Can’t wait to get it for him but I need to check it first from furniture stores at the same time start to save up.
